MTS Globe Group sign a cooperation agreement with the tour operator Tatilbudur, one of the largest online travel players in Turkey.
The partnership will first start in Istanbul and then expand all over Turkey and other cities in the world. Furthermore , the aim is to create a common hotel portfolio in places such as Bursa, Izmir and Cappadocia.
Since 1997 TatilBudur provides individual holiday offers and its portfolio includes hotels, resorts, holiday villages, boutique hotels, outgoing tour packages, cultural tour packages, cruises and transportation services including flights, buses and airport transfers. During the press conference held to announce the agreement, in December 2019, Onur Otruş, CEO of the company took the opportunity to present the growth rate of 37 % in the last 5 years and the positive results they had in 2019 serving 1 million passengers. The network includes 575 agencies across 56 provinces of Turkey. According to Onur Otruş´s statement: ” MTS Globe Group has a great technological infrastructure and we have been investing in technology for a long time. Guests will be able to achieve competitive holiday by creating dynamic packages through TatilBudur. ”
Münci Karakaya, General Manager of MTS Globe Turkey highlights the outlook of the company in this tourist region: “MTS Globe Turkey has served 780 thousand tourists in Turkey, for the next year the number is around 1.2 million. The biggest tour operator we have worked with is Jet2 Holidays, the largest tour operator in the UK after TUI. Jet2 is planning to bring 650 thousand passengers from England to Turkey next year and our goal is to provide the flights for Jet2, one of the fastest developing airlines in the world, for Istanbul.
The new airport offers a large capacity for Istanbul. TatilBudur has a very nice hotel portfolio in Istanbul, which will be satisfying for the guests coming with Jet2.”
Deniz Karakaya, MTS Globe Turkey Product Director adds: “It was the first part of the cooperation that would provide great advantages to both sides. All sales channels of OTS in 65 destinations are open to TatilBudur. Our aim is to create a common synergy. We plan to reduce time and cost by using each other’s infrastructure in destinations. These areas will be operational in 2 years.”
The collaboration will definitively contribute and accelerate the growth in the Turkish market in 2020 for both parties.
