From the 2nd until the 5th of May 2018 we have warmly welcomed more than 180 senior tourism officials from all over the world to the beautiful Costa del Sol for our annual Get Together. The event has been actively supported by the Patronato de la Costa del Sol, Turismo Andaluz, Bravo Buses, Melia Hotels and the Ayuntamiento of Torremolinos.
Our group has been organizing this major tourism networking event, every year, in a different MTS Globe Destination since 2008. Over the last few years the event took place in Portugal, Bulgaria, Malta and Turkey. This year, Costa del Sol in Spain has been selected to host the event.

The host town for the event was Torremolinos, but events and excursions have take place throughout the Costa del Sol with an excursion to the interior visiting the Caminito del Rey and a cultural visit to Malaga to see and experience the lively historic center, including museums, the cathedral and restaurants. A key part of the event is the Speed Dating where clients have the opportunity to actively do business with commercials from the MTS Globe Partner Network from 17 countries.
Michael Frey, CEO of MTS Globe, points out the importance of the event for the hosting destination.
“The event will generate a demand for the Costa del Sol and bring increased exposure for the hoteliers and the local companies that provide services for our clients“. 69 major tour operators from 28 countries will enjoy this event and the hospitality of the Costa del Sol”.

The official opening of the event was on the morning of Thursday 03 May at the Melia Costa Del Sol convention centre and it was presented by the Deputy Mayor of Torremolinos, Maribel Tocon, our CEO, Michael Frey and the Director of Patronato de la Costa del Sol, Arturo Bernal.
