At MTS Globe, sustainability is more than a goal, it’s an ongoing principle that determines how we operate, design our products, select our partners, and engage with our customers. As a key link between the tourism industry and travellers, we recognise our ability to influence consumer choices, supplier practices, and the development of destinations.
Research consistently shows that sustainable travel is no longer a niche interest, it is a growing priority for both tourists and tour operators. Travellers are increasingly seeking meaningful experiences and making conscious decisions about where they stay, how they travel, and how they spend their money.
This second edition of our Group Sustainability Report offers a transparent and informative overview of our environmental and social commitments. It reflects our ongoing efforts to transition our business toward a more sustainable model.
We are constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint by embedding sustainable practices across all areas of our business, from daily operations to supplier partnerships and customer engagement. Our aim is to build a future-ready business that aligns with evolving policies and expectations.
A few of our ongoing initiatives are:
Sustainable Portfolio Expansion
We continue to enrich our hotel and excursion offerings with properties that are formally recognised for their sustainability efforts.
Global Certification Commitment
We’re actively working to extend sustainability certifications across our global network. This year, seven new destinations obtained the Travelife certification, and Malta renewed theirs. Plus, we are closely collaborating with other destinations to follow next year. Since 2022, we’ve also been ISO 27001 certified, ensuring secure information management across all formats.
Digital Transformation for Sustainability
By advancing our digital tools and processes, we’re reducing our need of natural resources like paper and water, while improving operational efficiency.
Carbon Footprint Reduction and Internal Sustainability Policies
We’re implementing concrete measures to improve energy efficiency, manage waste responsibly, and reduce paper, water usage, and mobility-related emissions. Plus, we’ve developed comprehensive internal policies covering legal compliance, social responsibility, company culture, and community engagement.
